My go-to for European VPS!

Just got their 3 EUR VPS plan and it's incredible for the price! I needed a cheap server in Europe and eVPS delivered. Setup was instant, I mean truly instant, I had SSH access in under five minutes. The NVMe storage makes a huge difference, everything feels so snappy. I'm already planning my next server purchase for another project. Definitely recommending eVPS to my developer friends!

Consistent server performance

Another solid order from eVPS. I picked up a new Linux VPS for a side project, and the setup was just as smooth as my previous three servers. I appreciate that they consistently deliver on the advertised specs and the network speed is always reliable. It's why I keep coming back when I need another European host, can't beat the hassle-free experience.

Good KVM VPS, quick setup

I ordered a KVM NVMe VPS last week for a small development server. The ordering process was straightforward on their site; I picked the plan and OS without any issues. Provisioning was surprisingly fast, the server details and root access landed in my email within about 10 minutes. Performance has been good so far, no noticeable slowdowns even with some compiling tasks. The DDoS protection is a nice extra to have included, though I haven't really tested that. Support responded to a ticket about custom ISOs within an hour, which was helpful. Overall, a decent option for unmanaged VPS.

Thinking of moving my development server to eVPS. Currently on a shared host and it's just too slow. Any recommendations for their KVM VPS or Cloud Servers?

G gamerraj 2 weeks ago ✓ Best Answer
I've been using their NVMe KVM VPS for a dev environment for about 6 months now. Performance is solid, way better than any shared hosting. The 1Gbps uplink is nice too.

Yeah, I'm using the same. No complaints.

P PoojaR 2 weeks ago
Good to know! Any issues with uptime or support?

R Rahul87 2 weeks ago
I went with one of their Cloud Servers, for scalability mostly. It's decent, but I haven't really pushed it with high traffic yet. Setup was quick.

P PoojaR 2 weeks ago
How long did provisioning take for you?
4
R Rahul87 2 weeks ago
Mine was almost instant, like 10 mins.
5
T techfreak 2 weeks ago
If it's just for dev, the basic KVM VPS should be more than enough. They have Windows OS options too if you need it. DDoS protection is included, which is a plus.

Thanks, that's helpful! I'm leaning towards Linux anyway.

Just got hit with a higher renewal price for my eVPS Windows server. Anyone else seeing this?

P PriyaS 4 weeks ago
Yeah, my Linux VPS renewal was also higher than last year. Thought I was imagining things.

N Nikhil87 4 weeks ago
Same here. My initial plan was a super good deal.
3
A AmitM 4 weeks ago
Did you ask support about it? What did they say?
4
D Deepak 4 weeks ago
Following. My renewal is coming up soon and I'm curious if I should expect this too.

R RaviK 4 weeks ago
Good question. I'll probably reach out to them.

Mine renewed last month and the price was the same. Maybe it depends on the plan or if you had a special promo initially?

C coolboy88 4 weeks ago
Could be. Some of those initial discounts are pretty deep.

I think my first year was on a Black Friday deal, so that might be it.

Just got my eVPS server provisioned. Setup was super quick, like under 5 minutes. Didn't expect that for a budget provider.

A Anjali88 3 weeks ago
Yeah, their provisioning speed is usually top-notch. I've spun up a few test servers and it's always been almost instant. Which plan did you go with?
8
R RohanK 3 weeks ago
Just the basic 3 EUR VPS to try it out. Needed something for a small dev project.
8
P PriyaS 3 weeks ago
Good to know. Mine took maybe 10 mins last time, but still fast.

V VarunM 3 weeks ago
Following. Thinking of moving my side project there from DigitalOcean, if the speeds are good.
7
A Anjali88 3 weeks ago
Speeds are decent for the price, especially for European locations.
5
D DeepakG 3 weeks ago
Depends on your project, but overall solid.
7
D DeepakG 3 weeks ago
Mine was pretty fast too. But I used a custom ISO, so it added a tiny bit to the setup time while that uploaded. Still, way better than some other hosts.
12
R RohanK 3 weeks ago
Oh, they allow custom ISOs? That's actually pretty useful.
5
T TechieMax 3 weeks ago
Yep, custom ISOs are a lifesaver for specific distros.

Is DDoS protection actually included for free on all eVPS plans? Seems a bit too good to be true for the pricing.

S SaraPatel 11 hours ago
Yes, it is. I've had a few small attacks on my website hosted there and it handled them without issues. Never paid extra for it.
5
G GamerRaj 10 hours ago
Same here. Saved me a headache once.
3
N NikhilJ 9 hours ago
Good to hear! That's a big plus then.
1
L LinuxGuru 10 hours ago
I've heard mixed things. Some say it's solid, others claim it's a bit weak against larger volumetric attacks. Depends on your traffic profile I guess.
2
N NikhilJ 10 hours ago
Hmm, makes sense. Probably not for high-risk applications then.
8
S SaraPatel 9 hours ago
Yeah, for anything critical, you might want to layer it with something else.
3
A Amit87 9 hours ago
They do mention it on their site. I think it's basic protection, not enterprise-level, but for most small to medium projects it should be fine.
7
N NikhilJ 8 hours ago
Right, not looking for super hardcore, just something to filter out common nuisance attacks.
7
R RahulD 7 hours ago
Exactly. It's enough for general use.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a VPS here. Anyone know if their annual discount is actually recurring or just for the first year? Don't wanna get surprised with a huge renewal bill.

S Sarah E. 1 month ago
From what I remember, the annual discount is usually for the first billing cycle. So yeah, renewals might be full price unless you catch another promo.

D Daisy Kaur 1 month ago
I think it depends on the specific deal. Some are recurring, some aren't. Best to check the fine print when you're adding it to your cart, they usually say.

Does eVPS take PayPal? Trying to pay for my server without using my credit card directly.

G Greg 2 months ago
Yeah, they do. I've used PayPal for my payments there before, it's one of the options at checkout.
5
G Greg Kaur 2 months ago
Yep, PayPal is definitely an option. I also think they take crypto too, if you're into that, but I've only used PayPal.

Anyone in the US (specifically like, Chicago or something) using eVPS? How's the latency? Worried about my site being super slow for visitors here.

N Neil K. 2 months ago
Yeah, I'm in NYC and use them. It's an EU host, so you're going to have some latency no matter what. For a US audience, it's not ideal if you need super fast speeds, but for general stuff it's totally fine. My blog loads okay.
6
J James 2 months ago
It's European servers so expect some ping from Chicago. If your main audience is US, you might want to look for a US-based provider. But for dev work or if your users are mostly in Europe, it's pretty solid.

Is the 3 EUR VPS plan for real? Like, is it actually usable or is it super limited and slow? Sounds too good to be true.

P Phil 2 months ago
It's real, I got one. It's a basic plan, not for super heavy lifting, but totally usable for a small website, dev environment, or VPN. Good way to test them out without much commitment.
5
B Ben 2 months ago
Yeah it's legit. Don't expect to run like, a huge database and 100 concurrent users on it, but for simple stuff or learning, it's perfectly fine. Definitely not super limited, it's just their entry-level.
